N467 on a down BG Pass

Bonegilla, on the now dismantled Wodonga to Cudgewa line, was close to the former Bonegilla Migrant Hostel where many European migrants were housed after World War 2 to the mid 1970's.15th of March. Up direction

Cairns is situated in Far North Queensland.

31st of May to 5th of June

Barron Falls Station.

Looking down

On 14th of June Steamrail Victoria ,utilizing R 761 ,ran the last steam hauled broad gauge train

Whilst waiting this special, a north bound standard gauge goods thundered through Albury.

R 761 could not proceed in number 2 road due to a spectator parking too close to the line.

Eventually R 761 was able to proceed to the turntable in Wodonga,return to Albury and proceed home.

28th of September.

The Melbourne bound Countrylink arriving at Albury.


5th of October.

Wangaratta and Bowser are situated on North East Victoria's Rail Line.

Down broad gauge line passenger trains terminated at Wangaratta due to the poorof the line down to Albury which was later converted to standard gauge.

From November 2008 broad gauge trains terminated at Seymour whilst the BG line to Albury was converted to SG which was finished during 2010. Buses ran between Seymour to Albury.

Bowser is about 8kms on the downside of Wangaratta.

It used to be the junction for the Peechelba branch

to the north (left in next photo) and the Everton branch ( right) to the south east.

Everton was the junction for the Yackandandah and Bright branches.
